If you double click on the BookKeeper Windows icon and still it is not opening, there may be the case that some Antivirus is blocking it.

Try disabling Antivirus for 5 minutes and see if it working or not.

If it works, you need to exclude Book Keeper from the antivirus.

How to exclude Book Keeper from K7 Antivirus:

• Open K7 antivirus and then go to settings

• There go to the firewall and then to application control.

• Select Bookkeeper in the application list.

• Select edit there and give unrestricted rights to the application

• Restart the Bookkeeper application and then check

To manage exclusions:

1. 
   

   1. Open the K7Security main console and click on Settings at the top of the page.

   2. Choose Real Time Protection under AntiVirus and AntiSpyware. 

   3. Click the Click Here to Manage Exclusions option. The Exclude List dialog opens.

   4. The list of folders and files excluded from protection is displayed.

   5. To add the folders or files you want to exclude from protection, click Add Entry. 

   6. In the Add New Exclude Entry dialog that appears, enter the path of the folder or file. If you are not sure of the path, click Add Folder or Add File to select the folders or files respectively.

   7. Select the following options:
      Exclude from RealTime Scanner - to exclude the selected file or folder from the real-time scan
      Exclude from Offline Scanner - to exclude the selected file or folder from the offline scan
      Include Subfolders - to exclude subfolders under the selected folder from the scan. This option is not available when a file is selected for exclusion.

   8. Click OK to save the new entry and return to the Exclude List dialog.

   9. To remove a file or folder from the Exclude list, select the entry in the list and click Remove.

How to exclude Book Keeper from Quickheal Antivirus:

• Open Quick Heal and Click on Protection > Scan Settings

• Go to Exclude files and folders

• Click Add button and add the path of the BookKeeper installation

  Usually, the path is: C:\Program Files(x86)\Book Keeper

• Then click on Known Virus Detection and Behavior Detection: ON and click OK

• Click Save Changes

How to exclude Book Keeper from Kaspersky Antivirus:

• Open Kaspersky antivirus > click the Settings icon in the bottom left

• Click on Threats and Exclusions

• Click Manage Exclusions

• Click Add and click on the browse button to select Book Keeper

  Usually, the path is: C:\Program Files(x86)\Book Keeper

• Then click on All Components and click Okay

• Click Specify Trusted Applications and select Book Keeper.exe from the above path

• Click Okay

How to exclude Book Keeper from Avast Antivirus:

• Open the Avast user interface and go to 'Settings'

• Click on ‘General’ >> ‘Exclusions’ tab.

• Click on ‘File paths‘ >> 'Browse' and Add path

  Usually, the path is: C:\Program Files(x86)\Book Keeper

• Click Ok, and again click Ok

How to exclude Book Keeper from McAfee Antivirus:

• Open McAfee application

• Go to Setting > Real-Time Scanning

• Click on Excluded Files > Add File and select Book Keeper

  Usually, the path is: C:\Program Files(x86)\Book Keeper\Book Keeper.exe

• Click Add File, click Ok
